A guy stood over his tee shot for what seemed an eternity, looking up, looking down, measuring the distance, figuring the wind direction and speed... driving his partner nuts.
Finally his exasperated partner says, "What the hell is taking so long? Hit the damned ball!"
The guy answers, "My wife is up there watching me from the clubhouse. I want to make this a perfect shot."
"Give me a break! You don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of hitting her from here."

Video of the Press Conference held today where Oscar De La Hoya announced his retirement.
For many years, we have seen Oscar take his career to a level that only few have been able to match. So many athletes leave their sport injured, disabled, or simply not able to enjoy their lives, after giving so much of their body for the love of their sport. As a fan, I have loved to see Oscar fights, and admired the character that he displayed both in and out of the ring. While many will point out his faults, I point back saying who amongst us is perfect. Rather look upon what he has done for our community, our kids, and our culture. There are not too many Latino Americanos or Mexican Americans, as most see him, that have been a role model that we can tell our kids to look up to. Now with Golden Boy promotions moving as the top promoter in the sport, I hope that Oscar brings the same work ethic to his corporation as he did to the ring
I want to congratulate Oscar for a great career, but also let him know that as a father, you can look forward to spending time with your kids and the most special time ever spent.
On a side note, I also want to congratulate Eric Gomez. Eric has been with Oscar through much if not all of his career, and part of the success of Oscar's career also falls on to those that work with him. So with that being said, congratulations to you too Eric, now that I have had the pleasure of meeting and playing golf with you, I can also see how surrounding himself with people like you, have made him one of the greatest.
Now bring him to play golf, para quitarle poquito skin money!!!
